BREAST LIFT SURGERY
Effects of time and life (pregnancy, weight loss, etc.) often cause breasts to sag. This affect can be reversed with a breast lift procedure. The procedure reshapes the tissue in a breast to elevate it to a more youthful position. This procedure can be done in conjunction with a breast augmentation to improve position and increase volume.
A breast lift procedure can take from two to four hours. The breast tissue is reshaped, moving the nipple and areola into a higher position and removing excess skin. Depending on the amount of skin removed, the scar from the procedure can range from just around the areola of the breast to further down the breast.
It is important to note that the results of a breast lift are not always permanent. A pregnancy can reverse the effects of the surgery, and heavier breasts may not stay lifted as long.
