BREAST REDUCTION
A breast reduction procedure makes the breasts smaller, lighter, and more firm by removing tissue, skin, and fat from the breasts. Women choose this procedure to alleviate pressure from too-big breasts, which can cause back and neck pain, breathing problems, rashes under the breasts, and/or a general feeling of disproportion. This procedure is most often used to alleviate physical symptoms.
The procedure can take anywhere from two to four hours. Excess tissue and skin are removed and the areola and nipple are moved to a higher position.
